The EMS maglev train looks like it came straight out of a science fiction movie. Using two sets of electromagnets— one to repel and push the train above the tracks, and one to propel it forward— it quite literally flies. But in China, the maglev train is more than just a convenient means of modern transportation.

ago the idea of a hovering train may have seemed far-fetched but as the modern ages taught us nothing is impossible
In the past, the idea of suspending trains may seem far-fetched, but as modern people tell us, nothing is impossible.
how fast is too fast for our eyes to see
We can’t see how fast it is.
did you miss it let’s slow it down a bit for you
Did you miss it? Let’s slow down a bit.
still didn’t catch it that’s because it’s traveling at a speed of 600 kilometers per hour
I still haven’t seen it, because it flies close to the ground at a speed of 600 kilometers per hour.
you like to travel that fast anyway well we have some examples for you to put things into perspective to travel 1000 kilometers it takes an F1 car 3.3 hours for a fushing high-speed train it takes 2.8 hours well for the EMS maglev train it only takes 1.7 hours just 20 minutes slower than an airline. at speeds like that you’re basically flying
Anyway, you like to travel fast. We have some examples. For a 1000-kilometer journey, it takes 3.3 hours for an F1 car, 2.8 hours for a high-speed train and 1.7 hours for a maglev train, which is about 20 minutes slower than flying. At this speed, you are actually flying.
it’s fantastic China
This is the fantastic China.

To travel 1000km it’ s only 20 minutes slower, but then add in the time to get to and from the airport at both ends and get through security and possibly passport control it’ s easily less. Plus with a train you can arrive in the city centre which makes the last section to your final destination much quicker, because you will be close to the underground metro system.
For a journey of 1000 kilometers, taking the high-speed train is 20 minutes slower than flying, but with the time to and from the airport, it passes the security check and passport check. Plus, by train, you can go directly to the city center. The last journey is more convenient, and it is near by subway after arriving at the station.

In the city center? Today new stations are not build in the city center
Downtown? Nowadays, there is no new station in the city center.
?????????? SLEEPY JOE
@sihk sahmir It’s usually built directly to a hub that has a metro that takes you to the city center. For example, in Shanghai the maglev connects the aiport (which is 1 hour from downtown) to one of Pudong’s metro hub, line 7 (which is about 30 minutes from downtown).
Railway stations usually build a regional center directly, and then take the subway to the city center. For example, in Shanghai, the maglev train goes from the airport (1 hour from the city center) to Pudong’s subway hub Line 7 (about 30 minutes from the city center).

Why even bother bringing up Japan? They have maglev, so does China. Leave it be.
Why bother to mention Japan? They have maglev trains, and so does China. Let nature take its course

GOOD job~~
I hope it can be put into practical use sooner
In this way, the time from Changsha to Chengdu will be shortened from the current 6.5 hours of high-speed rail to 2 hours.
huge progress
Well done
I hope this can be put into use as soon as possible.

Japanese companies built 9,6km of HSR tracks for a p00r country SW of China and claimes to be the HSR king.
The PRC built 42.000km of HSR tracks since 2008 but isnt bragging.
I am bragging, i am not the PRC.
I am just proud.
Japanese companies built a 9.6-kilometer high-speed rail for a country in southwest China, and claimed to be the king of high-speed rail.
Since 2008, China has built 42,000 kilometers of high-speed rail, which is not bragging.
I’m bragging. I’m not from China.
I’m just proud.

An amazing design and technology. I just hope we ACTUALLY see it in wide-spread adoption soon, not just in flashy promo videos like this.
Amazing design and technology. I just hope that we can see this technology widely adopted soon, not just advertised here.

I very much enjoy this fantastic China programme .
I like this project in China very much.

This is fantastic news for those who suffer from motion-sickness because the ride does not have those up-down or side movements inherently accompanied with air travel : it is more comfortable than any other form of travel. Kudos to China; great and excellent job! ! ! ! ! !
This is good news for those who suffer from motion sickness, because riding the maglev train will not be accompanied by up-and-down or lateral movement, and it is more comfortable than riding any other form of travel tools. Pay tribute to China; Well done.

EMS maglev train is the second generation (600km/h), and vacuum tube maglev train will be the third generation of rail transportation technology in China in the future, with a speed of more than 1000km/h.

India first have to build Road, can’t fly until you don’t learn to walk first, China achive this long long time ago, that’s why is the best in the world now
India must build roads first. How can you fly if you don’t learn to walk first? China made achievements a long time ago, which is why China is now the best country in the world.

@Fanny Albi . Indian talk and boast first before action. Chinese action and make thing happen first before talking.
Indians talk big before they act. And China people do what they say, and say it when they do it.

I don’t know why to reach destinations so early? ? This will end the fun of travelling in trains like enjoying the landscapes etc
I don’t know why I’m sitting at the station so soon. Can’t enjoy the fun of train travel, you can enjoy the scenery along the way.

In India when you look out of the train all you see are people defecating on the field.
In India, when you look out of the train window, all you see are people who are convenient in the fields.

Will be wunderfull if this China’s Maglev train built in Africa because then travelling all over Africa will be much more convenient and faster. And fi nally Africa continent will be experiencing Maglev train first than the west or US north amrica
If China builds magnetic levitation in Africa, it will be fantastic, and it will be more convenient and faster to travel around Africa. The African continent will also experience maglev trains before the West or the United States.
